Concordia Philippines: Building Bridges, Creating a Brighter Future for the Filipinos
Providing Structure for Organizational Start-up
As Concordia International College in the Philippines opens its doors to local and international students, there are high hopes for everyone that the programs being offered will create a brighter future for the Filipino students, in particular. Beginning with the end in mind, the organizational development has provided a strong structure in its “start up”. The systems and culture being created within the organization are both challenging and rewarding.
During the first months of its operations, the culture of the College was discussed and developed at staff meetings and orientation. A plan was formulated to strengthen its process and structure in September 2011 when it’s CEO monitored the College for the second time since its operation to ensure that the newly appointed staff members are in sync with the College goals. By creating the culture and reinforcing it through a sense of “ownership” was viewed by the team as a critical success for the College. Planning for the College Calendar and events was also completed.
