Senior High School Orientation
On August 22, 2016, the Concordia College of Benguet held its first Senior High School’s orientation in the school’s Audio and Visual Room on the 7th floor at 8:00 AM to acquaint the school community with not only the school itself but also its facilities, departments, and services. The attendees of the orientation included students and their parents, and the members of the school faculty and management.
The orientation commenced with an invocation led by Ms. Desiree Balantac, RPT, from the Faculty and Administrative Staff and was followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem.
Concordia College of Benguet President provided the inspiring opening remarks, talked about Concordia history, mission, vision, objectives and core values, and made the first move in introducing the school departments and services, and their corresponding officers, starting with the Registrar Services.
The Registrar Services, headed by Ms. Carmen Molina, is the department responsible for the student admission and student record services including but not limited to providing assistance in the implementation of rules and regulations concerning student registration and admission, and handling other reports relating to enrollment data.
Senior High School Program Project Coordinator Letty Aliweng, MAESL, went on to talk about the school’s voucher program and curriculum, and she was followed by Ms. Gisela Mingoy, RN, to inform the students and parents of the medical and dental services that the school provides to its students.
For guidance and counselling services, Ms. Consuelo Pagaduan, RPT, MaEd, RGC, talked about the functions of her department, including helping students with matters concerning their total development, challenges, motivation, and discipline.
Ms. Desiree Balantac came back on the stage to discuss the dormitory facilities and services that are offered to foreign students and local students, including those whose residence is outside La Trinidad and Benguet. Then Ms. Helen Alis, MBA, from Faculty and Admissions Staff gave a talk about the school’s food and transportation services.
The Vice President for Academic Affairs and the SAO Officer in Charge, Mr. Ramsay Colorado, CPA, MBA, addressed matters relevant to Student Affairs Office Services and how the office provide services and support to the students of Concordia College of Benguet – Senior High School, and he capped off this year’s orientation program with his powerful closing remarks.
