  Concordia sponsors the WCCI National Student Chapter Convention

Over 700 student teachers all over the Philippines convened last March 3, 2012 at the Meralco Multipurpose Hall for the first National Student ChapterConvention of WCCI ( World Council for Curriculum and Instruction). Concordia

International College was a major sponsor. One of the seminar speakers was Concordia VP for Operations Marisen

Jerusalem who presented 21st Century Education and Concordia’s many programs on English Literacy, Teacher Development, Online Professional Educationand many more. Concordia’s presentation was very well-received and several student teachers expressed their intention to enroll in Concordia’s learningprograms.

WCCI or the World Council for Curriculum and Instruction is a transnatio al organization of educators primarilyaimed at establishing a person-to person contact in building a peaceful and humane global community. It is aregistered organization with the United Nations under cluster B.

Rotary Club of  Makati Central welcomes Concordia

During the Regular Meeting of Rotary Club of Makati Central last March 9, 2012, Concordia International College presented its EL.CD (English Literacy forCommunity Development) Program. Concordia VP for Operations Marisen Jerusalem explained

that EL.CD supports Rotary Foundation’s focus on BasicEducation and Literacy. She further explained that aside from promoting English literacy, EL.CD focuses on teacher development and empowers communitiesthrough quality education. Rotary Club President Ver Angelo expressed his support for Concordia’s program and will endorse it to his fellow Rotarians both hereand abroad.

Rotary’s main objective is service — in the community, in the workplace, and around the globe. The 1.2 million Rotarians who make up more than 34,000 Rotary clubs in nearly everycountry in the world share a dedication to the ideal of Service Above Self.
