Professor Ben Hur from the United States Golf Teachers Federation visited several Concordia branches, including Concordia International University in the USA, Concordia Education Center in Clark, Pampanga, and Concordia College of Benguet in Longlong, Benguet.
He arrived in the Philippines on October 16, 2016 and stayed until October 20, 2016. He came to see Concordia International University Education Center in Clark first from October 16-17 and Concordia College of Benguet, where he had a chance to meet our Concordia Live Your Dream Scholarship students, from October 17-18.
Professor Ben Hur was very kind enough to exhibit his proficiency at golf by playing with Concordia College of Benguet Honorary President and CEO David Kang on October 18 in Baguio City and October 19 in Clark.
The main purpose of his visit was to introduce an interesting sports-related program: Business Management Major in Professional Golf Management, which is basically intended for those who are passionate about golf and interested in pursuing a career in the golf industry. Although there is a lot of fun involved in this program, the concentration is on business, not playing the sport. In this program, you will develop management skills in areas including finance, marketing, and actual golf course operation.
This course also comes in different levels as our other courses do. It has diploma, higher diploma, BA degree, and postgraduate diploma programs that are accredited by our partner organizations in the United Kingdom.
