In partnership with Concordia Language Institute – Korea (CLI), Concordia International College in the Philippines (CIC) held its first ever
Learning Camp Assimilation Program (on English and Culture). Sixteen young kids from CLI had their learning camp for four weeks at Manila, Philippines from December 19, 2011 to January 13, 2012.
The Camp was a mixture of interactive learning, much fun, and bonding among the campers, faculty and CIC staff who participated in the event. The campers initially had to adjust to the extreme weather change – from freezing cold Korea to warm and humid Manila. For most of them, this is their first time in a foreign country without their family. But the genuine warmth and care of the CIC team soon placed the campers at ease. In no time, the fun-loving kids were participating in the many camp activities while making new friends.
Several classes were held at the College of the Holy Spirit – Manila Campus together with the Camp Graduation held last January 12, 2012. It was an emotional time for the campers and the CIC team – saying goodbye is never easy. But everyone knows that they all have learned and grown with this experience.
