Rotary Club of Makati Central Welcomes Concordia
During the Regular Meeting of Rotary Club of Makati Central last March 9, 2012, Concordia International College presented its EL.CD (English Literacy for Community Development) Program. Concordia VP for Operations Marisen Jerusalem explained that EL.CD supports Rotary Foundation’s focus on Basic Education and Literacy. She further explained that aside from promoting English literacy, EL.CD focuses on teacher development and empowers communities through quality education. Rotary Club President Ver Angelo expressed his support for Concordia’s program and will endorse it to his fellow Rotarians both here and abroad.
Rotary’s main objective is service — in the community, in the workplace, and around the globe. The 1.2 million Rotarians who make up more than 34,000 Rotary clubs in nearly every country in the world share a dedication to the ideal of Service Above Self. |
