Cloud Nine College (CNC) students and staff held a special event at Vancouver’s beautiful English Bay on July 10th. The day was sunny and warm, perfect for outdoor activities.
We took the bus to the beach after class. A refreshment area was provided with picnic mats under the shade of trees. In addition, we set up poles and netting for beach volleyball on the sandy beach. We formed impromptu teams across classes and enjoyed playing beach volleyball. The beach was not crowded that day, and we could fully enjoy our time.
After immersing ourselves in beach volleyball, we enjoyed pizza, snacks, and juice in the shade of the trees, resting our exhausted bodies after studying and exercising. This event served as a place for interaction with students from other classes, creating opportunities for us to make new friends and expand our community.
CNC student coucil aims to enrich student life by providing students with opportunities to meet new people and deepen friendships. Students can share new perspectives with people from different backgrounds and learn from each other’s experiences and knowledge through interactions beyond the class boundaries. These interactions allow students to recognize themselves as members of a broader community and share their knowledge and growth with others.
For the next event, we plan activities that can further deepen bonds. This may include team-building exercises, joint projects, or simply casual games for enjoyment together. These activities provide students with opportunities to build trust and for one another while also learning to work together to achieve common goals.
