Jeju Island

The picturesque volcanic island of Jeju is the southernmost island of the Korean Peninsula. Because of the warm Kuroshio current and its central location in northeast Asia, it has mild weather, clean air retention from both land and sea breezes, and temperatures that rarely fall below freezing.

Jeju Island, the youngest volcanic island in Korea, is home to numerous well-preserved volcanic landforms, such as lava tube caves, small volcanic edifices, volcanic shields, etc. It offers a variety of breath-taking scenery, from the alpine greenery of Mount Hallasan to the vivid, soft, temperate corals beneath the sea.

Why is Jeju Island so famous?

Jeju Island gained appeal as a honeymoon destination for Korean couples in the 1970s as a result of the island’s temperate temperature and restrictions on international travel imposed during the Cold War.

Also, Jeju Island is one of the most popular tourist destinations in South Korea due to its beautiful natural landscape and sandy beaches.

Jeju Island provides wonderful housing options, spectacular natural beauty, delectable food, interesting museums, and gorgeous landscapes for travelers looking to get away from the major cities on the peninsula and enjoy a unique location in South Korea.

Conclusion

Jeju Island, as one of the world’s new seven natural wonders, offers a wide range of activities. Hallasan is a dormant volcano in South Korea, located in the middle of Jeju-do, the country’s largest island off the coast of the mainland.

You won’t be able to turn your attention to Jeju, South Korea’s most southern province and a distinct island with its own culture and experiences, until you’ve completed at least one of them. You will learn about a different aspect of South Korean culture, and the trip to Jeju is well worth it.
