On October 24, 2019, Concordia International College inked an MOU with Canfly Education Agency Inc. to promote Concordia’s programs in the Taiwan market and establish O2O (Online to Offline) centers in Taiwan. Taiwan, an island-country just east of China, has an estimated population of 23.78 million people, about half the size of South Korea. It has been a growing market for education, and with the improvement of the standard of living, many people are turning toward the global market, looking for ways to study abroad and find more opportunities to pursue their careers. Many young people have graduated with a bachelor’s degree at ages 23-24, and they are looking to work and pursue further studies abroad. Many workplaces demand English efficiency level, and despite English not being their first language, many people in Taiwan speak low to moderate levels of the language.
