Organizational management

  As a company, or as an individual, is this a good idea? – Do you suddenly get confused at work? Do you sometimes feel like there’s a better way? These thoughts come up not only in your work, but also when you see what your boss or colleagues are doing.

 The form of organizational management is not only related to personnel, but also directly related to the problems of the parties themselves.

  Therefore, when I am confused about the organization’s management, I will bring “people” into the organization to think. Organization is a collection of people, so we should start from the origin of people’s actions as its constituent elements to believe. Humans are not machines. We have emotions and our abilities are limited. People with these characteristics work together to form an organization. To feel these things and judge them is what is important in organization management.

  *Why work in an organization

 Humans competed with Neanderthals 50,000 years ago for prey and habitat. It was humans, who were physically inferior to Neanderthals, who won the battle for survival. It is said that the victory of humanity lies in collective action. Large and powerful, Neanderthals could hunt without working with anyone else. So what they call a collective is at most a family living together. Humans, by contrast, must act in solidarity to capture large prey.  There are limits to what everyone can do. By creating and belonging to organizations, one can acquire skills that complement one’s  abilities, thus enabling civilization to develop.

The philosopher Aristotle made this point explicitly. Aristotle, a famous Greek philosopher and Socrates and Plato, once defined human beings as social animals. He asserted that human beings are different from other animals in that they can only live and evolve in a collective society, and that they cannot live alone regardless of their own will.

  However, being collective does not mean being perfect.If human beings had absolute rationality and formed a collective, there would be no problem, and they could carry out correct and effective collective action for a long time. Unfortunately, since humans have only limited rationality,various problems arise within organizations. Human organizations can achieve great results in many aspects, but on the other hand, such organizations will also have many issues. Solving these problems is one of the purposes of organizational management.Organization is man’s most powerful weapon. Because organizations are powerful weapons, there are many problems, which sometimes lead to the deterioration of organizational efficiency and even the unfortunate fate of the members of the organization. To avoid similar misfortunes and enable the organization to achieve more results, we must seek appropriate organizational management.

  Organizations are tools for generating social value, as we have already explained. There needs to be collaboration among various people within the organization. However, the logic of workers sometimes diverges from the sense of organizations.It is possible to treat a person as a machine for a short time, which may lead to higher results in the pursuit of productivity, but not in the long run. Over time, only organizations that make the individuals who constitute the collective happy will be consistently productive.The reason is that the primary motivation for people to work is work itself. This is called internal dynamics. Job stiflingemotion and humanity does not make work interesting, interesting, or valuable. As a result, treating a person as a mere machine reduces the quality of his career. On the contrary, if employees can be made to be interested in the work itself and care about the job, then employees will spontaneously find ways to improve production.

  The importance of maintaining work-life balance

  Work is part of one’s life. Living well within a family or regional community is a great motivator to work. Thus, the keyword for organizations thinking about individual well-being is “work-life balance.” “Work-life balance” is about not only feeling valued and fulfilled at work, but also having plenty of personal time at home or in your life. The phrase has been around for a long time, but more recently the Cabinet Office has been drawing attention to its charter for Work-Life reconciliation. One of the reasons for the alliance is to encourage women to work in a productive and child-rearing environment as part of a response to low birth rates.

  When thinking about work-life balance, most of the time “life” means family or personal time. To extend the concept of “life” means fulfilling one’s entire life. This includes a sense of value and social satisfaction through work.

  *What is organizational culture

  Although there are strong and weak degrees, organizations also have cultures. It can be said that organizational culture is a common rule that affects the way of thinking and action of corporate members.The advantage of having a strong corporate culture is to reduce the cost of communication. The members of the organization share the same values. They not only conduct business together, but also have lunch together, so that more information can be exchanged. Once certain situations arise, communication will become smoother. In this informal exchange of information, it is easy to ask questions that cannot be raised in a formal meeting in public.

 * What is a manager’s job

A manager position is promoted after successful career experience in an organization. The term manager is usually used in business practice. What does it mean?

Some people think that those who are good at certain positions and functions such as sales, development and production management can become managers directly. Many companies have adopted this system. Sales departments, for example, promote managers who achieve outstanding results.

  Managers don’t work for themselves, They make others work. It can also be said that a manager is a person who works through people, which is completely different from the skills required to work in a real business. The sales manager is not the one who makes the sales, but the one who asks his subordinates to make the deals.Such a division of work into executive and support functions within the same job is called vertical division of labour.

  Design the purpose of the organization

 The work of organization design is generally taken charge of by personnel department and business planning office.

  Organization is the tool of strategy execution. Therefore, organizational design is a better structure for implementing strategy. System is about who is responsible for what, who works with whom in what relationship, etc. When the strategic change is large, the overall design of the organization will be changed. When the strategic shift is small, the organization will only make partial adjustments. For example, when the company set up a production base in Vietnam, it created a responsible department to meet new requirements, but did not redesign the entire organization. The contents of the executive branch plan may not be fully applicable to the executive branch. Of course, the administrative department will also make necessary adjustments or corrections in practical work through the emergence of the situation and accumulated experience over time.

  In addition, it is not easy to understand and manage the subject and make it your own.Even if you have reached the top, there are still problems that will haunt you. No matter how deep your ideas are and how detailed your strategy is, if the people in your organization don’t pull in the same direction and take action, the organization’s goals won’t work.   The changes in the organization’s environment will be more intense in the future. In an uncertain situation, the ability to learn is essential for individuals to develop their talents. As SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son said, to be able to rack one’s brains to think, one must first have weapons that can think.Individuals and organizations that have to solve problems fixedlywill come to a standstill.
