Every transition to college can be a perplexing task; students move from high school or the usual home routine into an unfamiliar environment. Cloud Nine College (CNC) – Concordia offers a smooth transition by holding an orientation that allows students to acquaint themselves with the school, connect with the key people in their new academic community, and meet their fellow students.
Whatever the format, virtual or in person, CNC-Concordia aims to provide students with the opportunity to learn how they can succeed in their learning journey. In this regard, CNC-Concordia held an academic orientation for its students on February 28, 2022. Leyla Teykul, Instructor, and the administrative team and staff members facilitated the orientation to thirty (30) students on MS Teams. The participants joined from various locations, including Canada, Japan, Korea, and the Philippines. School policies, course requirements, academic tools, and platforms were thoroughly covered to ensure that students are ready to advance their education at their preferred university.
CNC-Concordia concluded the event by announcing the winners of the MYON Reading contest, which was launched in January 2022. Myon is a learner-centered, personalized digital library that gives students access to a myriad of enhanced digital book choices. Students who completed the most readings were recognized with a prize.
