Great Coop Internship Opportunity for students as a dishwasher

POSITION: DISHWASHER

Concordia International University and Cloud Nine College announced that the Coop internship program would be held at the David Thompson Resort in the summer of 2022. Concordia is guiding students to the academic growth of recent graduates through a meaningful paid internship in the competitive resort field.

David Thompson Resort opens from May 1st to September 30th (may vary due to weather conditions), surrounded by the Canadian Rockies with fantastic hiking trails. Their amenities include a hotel and various sized serviced RV pull-through sites, which are pull-through sites that are shaded and grassy, RV rentals, tent sites, rustic, and full-service chains.

They offer several positions to Concordia students, including housekeeping, dishwasher, Front Desk attendant, Server, store attendant, and more. These positions are for an open-minded- outgoing person who can work well in their small team and independently and can develop new ideas to help grow David Thompson Resort successfully.

These positions are seasonal/full-time jobs from May 1st to September 30th (May vary due to weather conditions and COVID restriction policy).

Position Overview:

Our dishwashers play an essential role in delighting and serving our guests.   Clean plates and utensils are key for delivering a great guest experience.   Dishwashers are responsible for ensuring that all plateware and equipment remain spotless, clean and safe.

Job Skills, Duties & Requirements:

  • Capable of standing for long periods of time and be able to physically bend and lift large items in and out of sink.
  • Ensure all glass and plate ware as well as utensils are cleaned to the highest standard.
  • Some knife skills
  • Ability to set up for staff meals
  • Organizational skills an asset
  • Be able to meet deadlines
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Additional tasks as assigned by senior management
