Should Zoos Exist?

Zoos exist for the purpose of educating people and appreciating the beauty of the world. But the world is changing so fast that zoos have long been places of entertainment, like amusement parks, places where people spread so-called kindness. When I went to the zoo, the deer park wall was covered with wildlife scenes. Someone asked: Is this to deceive them? The answer is: to deceive us.

Humans and animals are not equal, morally or legally. I wonder how some people come to the conclusion that humans and animals are equal. The meat we eat, the milk we drink, and the shoes we wear come from animals. The biosphere is a jungle, where humans were prey to animals before they could use fire or tools. Fortunately, they climbed to the top.
The zoo serves four functions for society: first, the wild animal moves the land to protect the base; second, the scientific research base; third, the popular science propaganda education base; and fourth, providing the recreational recreation place for the visitor.

The improvement of science and technology plays a part in people being able to support environmental protection and participate in more protection work for the public environmental protection education. This allows for the provision of richer content, rich and colorful forms of education to meet the psychological needs of the public so as to realize the function of leisure and entertainment. Every work carried out will ultimately serve the public, which is the ultimate positioning of the zoo. The environmental protection work with wildlife and habitat protection as the main content includes and replaces the wildlife land removal protection work. The goal of creating a good environment and service facilities to attract more people to the zoo for leisure is not only to get better economic income for the zoo but also to let more people have the opportunity to receive environmental protection education in the zoo. The purpose of scientific research is not only to obtain some new and strange research results but to better carry out the protection of wild species and habitat and public environmental protection education work, which is the basis of carrying out these works well.

Finally, protect endangered wild species. Protecting animals in zoos can prevent them from being poached. Protecting people in prisons can prevent them from being assassinated. This is a very paradoxical relationship. In order to be protected, you must be bound. The greater the protection is, the more bound has to be done. The price of protection is being caged, and the price of freedom is being killed. When the wild population declines to a certain point, the extinction of the species is assured, and zoos become the last retirement home for the species. Both zoologists and keepers trying to delay their demise.
