Is there any treasure in Japan?

“Treasure Legends” can be roughly categorized into two types. The first one is legends of treasure that was “intentionally buried” by a person or group. The other one is legends of treasure “buried by accident,” such as an unfortunate incident or a disaster.

On May 23, 1701, a pirate named Captain William Kidd died in London after being tied up and hung by his neck.
Captain Kidd became world-famous due to a letter to the British government, saying after his statement: “I have got a huge amount of treasure in the West Indies Sea.”
Two centuries later, in 1929, a former lawyer, Hubert Palmer, who lived in Eastbourne, England, got a desk engraved with Captain William Kidd Adventure Gallery 1699 at an auction.

It was a wooden desk that was said to have been made in the 17th century. Palmer knew the legend of Captain Kidd and thought that the desk might have a hint about his treasure, so he desperately searched the desk. As he was searching, a part of the hinged door collapsed, and a thin brass tube came out from the dent. A map came out from it, and Palmer, who was surprised by it, began collecting maps that seemed to belong to Captain Kidd from all over the world, and four similar maps were gathered, and all four were drawn in the China Sea.

There are Japanese islands in the China Sea. The name of the island is “Treasure Island,” and there is a long belief that foreign pirates arrived on Treasure Island in 1698, burned the inhabitants who fled to the cave and settled in the cave. At one point, the pirates left the island with the treasure. There are trustable documents that support this claim.

For these reasons, we can still get the treasure in Japan. Of course, we cannot be 100 percent sure about it, but it is not a sufficient reason to give up on looking for 100 million dollars’ worth of treasure.
