Concordia Alumni Engagement:
TESTIMONIES of Our Graduates

On behalf of my fellow graduates, I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Concordia International College and Help English Language Program for giving us the opportunity to acquire a TESOL Diploma.

During the process of learning the TESOL Program, we were able to grow not only professionally as a teacher but also personally as an individual. We have learned the qualities of a good teacher, how to manage our time effectively and be able to beat deadlines, we learned how to motivate our students intrinsically and extrinsically how to make our lessons more organized and interesting. We have also realized that very compound complex sentences into S-V-O pattern are not that easy. Actually that was the hardest part.

Indeed, the program required from us much effort, time and sacrifice. But, it was all worth it! Thank you!

Amazing !Amazing !Amazing! Concordia TESOL and TEC courses are very rich and educative. Is not just to obtain a degree but it impacts one who has educational goals, especially Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. I learned many things that I lacked as an English teacher. The course built my confidence to teach, which after graduation, I got well paid offers around me and overseas. I headed many schools that I taught. The course taught me the basic and advanced teaching methodology and composure. I command respect and regards in my work places and I always prove what I claim and boast about Concordia TESOL and TEC. The academic staff are friendly, patient and encouraging. A Chance In My Life Concordia Brought Me

Have you ever gotten any opportunity to gain great knowledge? I believe that most people would like to have a great chance to obtain the experience which is helpful for their lives. I also had a chance to learn diverse things when I was at grade 12.

Long time ago, at grade 11 I had hard time in taking English subject because I actually did not have confidence in English. At that time, I was very worried and agonized a lot over how to improve my English speaking and reading skills. In that circumstance, I was really fortunate to know Concordia’s diploma program and even it was a lucky find. To me, there was no reason I deny welcoming it since I could not help taking any program that is useful for me to help me talk with others smoothly and read a textbook rapidly.

Meanwhile, it was a bit harder than I expected before and additionally it is never easy job to me because the program consists of a lot of classes, lectures, and assignments. When I was taking them, at first I thought I would not be able to finish this until I graduate Secondary school. In fact, I was anxious and embarrassed but I could successfully complete this program because there certainly was a great professor who guided me well and gave me practical information by lecture. His active support and considerate advice encouraged me to complete hard and lengthy works within shorter time.

I believe that such a hard time led me to better understand English language. Therefore, I would like to recommend taking this program for students like me. Furthermore, I feel very proud to finish them in time without giving up. Because of that, I could get benefited when entering Simon Fraser University and luckily was able to obtain scholarship. Hence, I really would like to extend my appreciation to the Concordia and applaud myself about my feat.

Additionally, after completion, I do not hesitate to have a talk with other people and my reading skill was improved a lot as well. It has a value beyond description and I strongly believe it is going to be a cornerstone to make me closely and readily approach my objective.

All in all, Concordia’s Translation and Interpretation program brought me a lot of advantages and a chance to have better understanding on English. Thank you, Concordia!
