The  International Interpreters & Translators

 Association: Its History

 Year 2011 commemorates the  12 years  of success of the  International Interpreters & Translators Association.

In 2005, the International Interpreter’s Association is registered as a non-profit private organization with the  South Korean Ministry of Culture & Tourism  from the support law of non-profit private organization in order to contribute to the benefit of the society. The  Association was established to introduce the tradition and distinction of Korean culture in improving the nation’s image in order to become a nation of high culture. The TI Association aims  to select excellent interpreters through the International Interpreter’s Competition and Foreign Language Festival and send them  to conferences and to various companies. Soon, an official authorization of an interpreters’ license will be  awarded to the Association.

By developing foreign language test system (ESPT) to support the interpreters at various international events. Winners from the competition and festival received prizes from the Minister of Education & Human Resources Development Ministry. IN photos are the colorful activities at  Busan International Film Festival  during the 14th Asian Games and  the 2002 FIFA World Cup. Gracing the events  were  important personalities from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Ministry of Education & Human Resources Development, the Ministry of Culture & Tourism, from Daegu and other  Korean organizations.

The photos are living proof of  winners beaming with   pride of their outstanding  accomplishments. These were taken at various international events sponsored by the Association.
