Through the leadership of Rev. Joo, principal of Evergreen School, Concordia opens its doors to Korean students aimed to drive innovation in the classroom via English Proficiency program. This project is a product of strong collaboration happening at the two sites of Concordia-Global. Teacher Cherry, a Concordia alumna in TESOL diploma course and an ESL member of the teaching team has been chosen for the project to improve the speaking skills in English of Korean students. In making the organizational innovation visible, there are six driven, young and enthusiastic students named: Yun Hye min, Su Yeon Kim, Han Sol Roh, Seung Joo Yu, Dong cheol Kim, Eun Joo Park on line.
The components of the English program are focused primarily on speaking and listening;
By improving on expressing themselves as English speakers students become more global persons. Involving everyone to speak up everyday for three hours is Teacher Cherry’s key to successful change. Assessing the progress of the students daily is an important component in the teaching-learning environment
